"I am passionate about guiding individuals on their journey to uncover and embrace their most authentic selves."
Hey there! I'm Paul (he/him/his), and I'm really glad you found your way here. As an AASECT-certified sex therapist, psychotherapist, and couples therapist, I focus on bringing together the worlds of relationship and sex therapy. It's clear to me that our sexual and relational well-being are deeply connected. I've personally seen how these two areas influence each other, and I'm passionate about creating a space for integrated healing. What happens in our intimate lives reflects our relationships, and vice versa. Blending these approaches can offer a more complete and supportive path forward.
I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Northern Kentucky University and am licensed in Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, and Colorado as a clinical social worker. I also completed sex therapy training with the Integrative Sex Therapy Institute. With over a decade of experience, I've worked in various mental health settings, focusing on LGBTQ+ experiences, sex and sexuality, relationships, and trauma.
How comfortable do you feel talking about sex? With your partner? Friends? Family? Asking these questions is a great starting point. Sex therapy isn't just about fixing problems; it's about building a sex-positive culture, honoring diverse sexualities, and empowering you to live authentically. I believe everyone deserves to experience fulfilling intimacy, and I'm dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space for you to explore these parts of yourself. Whether you're interested in addressing sexual concerns, exploring your identity (orientation, gender, or kink), healing from experiences of betrayal, navigating ethical non-monogamy, addressing performance issues, or rebuilding trust, I'm here to support you.
My approach is flexible and tailored to your unique needs., individually or relationally. I use a variety of evidence-based methods, specializing in EMDR through an attachment lens, including attachment-focused EMDR modified protocols. I also incorporate CBT, DBT, Gottman Method, Attachment Theory, IFS, mindfulness, and somatic therapy. I'm especially drawn to the transformative power of EMDR in healing past wounds that impact our ability to connect intimately. Together, we'll work—both in session and through practices like meditation, journaling, breathwork, and somatic experiencing—to foster deeper connection, heal, and build the fulfilling relationships you deserve.
